Over the last century, Women’s College Hospital has built a legacy in health care innovation. The WCH Institute for Health System Solutions and Virtual Care (WIHV) was created to find new ways to transform the way that patients experience their care, create better health outcomes for them in the long run and lower the cost of managing chronic illness in the system.
Whether it’s evaluating an app that lets patients with diabetes have more control over their blood sugar or a telemedicine intervention that allows patients in remote parts of the country speak directly with their doctor, WIHV puts some of the brightest new ideas in health care to the test. From the smallest tech startup, to national non-profits, governments and agencies, WIHV works with partners to improve access to health care for everyone, no matter where they live or what their physical barriers are.
